2 hour delay

Due to widespread power outages, area flooding, concerns for additional landslides, and a large amount of blocked roads, we are calling a 2-Hour Delay for December 19, 2025.  I understand the uncertainty may be frustrating, and I also know student performers and athletes have been working hard on winter programs and preparing for contests. Because of this, we continued to monitor the weather predictions before closing. I have greatly appreciated the communication with Lincoln County emergency providers, First Student school bus management, and our Facilities and Maintenance Department during this winter storm. School closures and district-wide staff, student and family safety are taken very seriously in making these decisions. We are also heartfeltly aware that the week before a long break is a time for students to say goodbye to staff and friends, access warm meals, and get much needed help from staff before break.

If roads are safe to travel, we hope to see you at school on Friday after our 2-Hour Delay. If we must cancel, we will distribute that information by 7:00 a.m. We wish you a safe winter break and look forward to seeing all of our staff and students on January 5, 2026.
