November 7th Moose Lodge Youth Awareness Scholarship Program Moose Lodge Youth Awareness Scholarship. Last year a youth from Waldport won a $3,750 scholarship with Moose International by participating in Youth Awareness. And over the past two years, 3 youth have been chosen from our area to represent Oregon Moose Association at the National Youth Congress. This is an exciting opportunity for WHS kids! students who want to participate are required to: 1. Attend a Zoom orientation- Scheduled for 11/7/2020 at the Waldport Library- 2. Give age appropriate presentations to 4-8 year olds about a topic of the student’s choice- this will quite possibly be done virtually this year due to COVID. 3. Track the presentations- number given, number of students reached, and impact of the topic on students or their community. 4. Submit tracking documents to Terry Brier, Youth Awareness coordinator for Oregon Moose Association by the given deadline. 5. From there, the entries will be judged and 1 or more students will selected to represent Oregon at the National level in the springtime. The National Youth Congress will be virtual this year due to COVID. This is really an easy scholarship opportunity for all high school students and our local Moose Lodge representative is available to help them along the way. Winners are required to attend a Youth Awareness Orientation and follow the steps above to be considered.

If interested in attending the orientation session, email
