THE MAJORITY OF THE COLLEGES IN THE COUNTRY HAVE GONE TEST OPTIONAL AND/OR TEST BLIND FOR THE FALL 2021 ADMISSION CYCLE.
Some highly selective colleges are Test-Optional, but not Test Blind. This means that some students are still submitting test scores to these schools, so if you have a very high score, you should submit it. Most highly selective schools are waiving the SAT Subject test requirement for the Fall of 2021 admission cycle.
Fair-Test.org has a list of test-optional and test blind colleges:
All public colleges in Oregon have adopted a Test-Optional policy for the Class of 2021 admissions. This means that ACT and/or SAT tests are not required for admission.
The University of California colleges have eliminated the SAT/ACT requirements for admission through the class of 2023 admission cycles.
Juniors can still take the SAT if they feel safe to do so. It is still offered in limited settings, so there is the possibility that it will be waived or optional for admission to college in 2022.
There is free, licensed SAT Prep available on Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org) You can personalize the SAT prep by linking your PSAT scores with Khan Academy.
The December and March SAT will be offered at Newport High School. You can register at HERE
Lincoln County School District has not reached a decision as to whether we will offer the SAT during the school day in 2021.
